Blogging To Learn

Student Blogs are a great way to get students to do what most of them hate: WRITE!
So why not...

• Create a classroom blog where everyone contributes their writing.
• Have small groups create blogs where other groups respond to their writings.
• Teachers post an issue on your blog and have students express their opinions on the issue.

Using iPods in the Classroom

I think the use of iPods is only just beginnning in our classrooms. Here are a few ideas I have seen:

• Video a teaching episode of each state standard and place on an iPod for students to use as review or to hear the explanation one more time.
• Allow students to podcast the oral presentation of a project complete with images.
